Sources & methodology
Source: Ministry of Home Affairs, National Cyber Crime Data — PIB, 21 July 2026 ↗, Annexures I and II; underlying statistics from NCRB’s Crime in India. Reporting years: 2020–2024. Source checked: 30 October 2026.
This is a curated snapshot, updated after source verification, not a live police feed. This first release covers cybercrime; other crime datasets and finer geography are not included. State totals reconcile to the published India total for every year. Category counts are displayed separately and must not be added to State totals. Year-on-year change is unavailable without a prior year or when its value is zero.
